France Begins Official Registration of PDPs

Type: Legislation

In August 2024, French authorities began certifying Digital Public Platforms (PDPs), which are crucial for the upcoming mandatory e-invoicing system set to start in September 2026. PDPs will help distribute the processing load beyond the central Public Invoice Portal (PPF) and offer enhanced functionalities like support for additional invoice formats and value-added services. As of now, about 70 service providers have applied for PDP status, with Pagero being the first officially registered platform, receiving the registration number 0001. The exact number of certified PDPs is still being confirmed, and a formal announcement from the DGFIP is anticipated soon.

Effective date: August, 2024
