Mandatory E-Invoicing Phased Rollout

Type: Legislation

The Dominican Republic ‘s DGII is introducing mandatory e-invoicing, termed e-CF e-invoices, starting in 2024. Large national companies will transition in waves from January to May 2024, with small enterprises following suit on May 15, 2026.

Initially voluntary since 2019, e-invoicing has been piloted with ten major taxpayers, covering B2B and B2G transactions. This system closely resembles Chile’s.
