Digital VAT book for recording invoices – approved

Type: Legislation

General Resolution 4597, issued by the tax administration and published in the Official Gazette of October 1, 2019, approves a new system supporting a “digital VAT book” for recording invoices issued and received by VAT-registered taxpayers and selected VAT-exempt persons. The new system will consist of a web service available on the tax administration’s website that will include all electronic invoices issued and received during a month’s period. Taxable persons will be able to approve or modify the information by confirming, adding or deleting documents. The digital VAT book must be approved by registered taxpayers before submitting the VAT affidavit. Input and output VAT reported in the VAT affidavit must be consistent with the reported amounts in the digital VAT book. The “VAT digital book” will be available on the tax administration’s website as from November 1, 2019.

Effective date: November 1, 2019
